Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones-Your World, Optimized: enjoy the best noise cancellation and all-day comfort for travel or focus. Don’t just listen; hear sound customized to you, outperforming better wireless headphones.
Key Features:
Classy Noise Cancellation (ANC):
BOSE QUIETCOMFORT ULTRA has excellent active noise cancellation, fine-tuned to cancel out an enormous range of outside interference, from airplane cabin rumble to office chatter. Users can typically choose between:
Quiet Mode: Maximum noise cancellation for maximum focus.
Aware Mode (Transparency Mode): Enables you to hear the environment without constraint, like not having headphones on, for situational awareness.
Custom Modes: With the app Bose Music, one can customize noise cancellation levels and even permit an “ActiveSense” mode when in Aware Mode, which automatically enables ANC when experiencing loud, unexpected noises.
Bose Immersive Audio (Spatial Audio): This is Bose’s massive new feature. It’s their interpretation of spatial audio, trying to get sound closer to being real and “out-of-your-head.” Rather than sound seeming to come directly out of your head, Immersive Audio tries to move the sound out in front of you, so that it seems to be coming from outside speakers. It comes in two modes:
A. Still Mode: Best when sitting, where the sound is stationary in front of you even while your head turns.
B. Motion Mode: The sound follows you, and the “in front” illusion persists while you’re moving about.
CustomTune Technology: This fine-tunes the sound and noise cancellation to your preferences. When you wear the headphones, CustomTune technology scans the shape of your ears and calibrates the sound performance to your personal specifications. This is intended to make sure that sound gets to you perfectly and ANC is tailored to your unique fit.
Greater Design and Unparalleled Comfort: True to the “QuietComfort” name, these headphones are designed with comfort in mind. They’re designed to be lightweight (around 254g) with gentle ear cushions and a padded headband so they don’t feel heavy or uncomfortably clamping after many hours of wear. The material is described as luxe, which contributes to the upscale design. They also have a foldable design so they easily fit inside a bag, and come with a hard-shell case.
High-Fidelity Sound: While Bose has been far better known for ANC than “audiophile” sound, the QC Ultra seeks to deliver a more advanced listening experience. Reviews describe decent sound quality, with a few noting better detail and soundstage compared to its predecessors, particularly after reoptimizing the sound signature through the adjustable EQ in the Bose Music app.
Crystal-Clear Calls: The headphones come with a revolutionary microphone arrangement that is made to pick up your voice and cut out ambient noise, allowing for clear communication throughout calls.
Battery Life: The QuietComfort Ultra Headphones have up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge when using Quiet or Aware modes. When more power-hungry Immersive Audio is utilized, battery life drops to approximately 18 hours. A 15-minute fast charge will provide up to 2.5 hours of playback (or 2 hours when using Immersive Audio).
Connectivity and Controls:
Bluetooth 5.3: Provides a stable and good wireless connection.
Bose Music App: The app has in-depth tuning, such as adjustable EQ, personalized modes, firmware updating, and connection management.
Touch Controls: Volume control (swipe), track skips, call control, mode switching are done using capactive touch-sensitive earcup buttons.
Physical Buttons: Power, Bluetooth pair, and perhaps a multi-function button to cycle through the modes.
Head Detection: The headsets have the capability to detect whether they are on or off your head, stopping or continuing audio.
In the Box:
QuietComfort Ultra Headphones.
Hardshell case.
3.5mm to 2.5mm audio cable for wired listening.
USB-C to USB-A charging cable.
